Aid for Africa
Tackling Africa's Complex Problems Through Alliance

Aid for Africa is a charity alliance of more than 80 United States-based non-profits and their African partners working to help children, families, and communities throughout sub-Saharan Africa; its members touch almost every aspect of the African community, including health, education, economic development, sanitation, agriculture, social justice, and wildlife conservation. Through Aid For Africa, diverse non-profits learn about each other and form partnerships. In addition, the alliance's programs help members raise funds and educate and reach out to the public.
In 2011, Project Redwood contributed to Aid For Africa's Girls' Education Fund, which provides educational scholarships and stipends to girls and young women through 14 of its member organizations. Educated girls help break the cycle of poverty. As women, they become community leaders and role models; they have fewer, healthier children, educate their families, and are less likely to contract AIDS or be abused.
