How International Village Clinic (IVC) Is Making a Difference
IVC brings health and medical services to the poor villages of India through mobile clinics and local health workers that also provide vaccinations along with nutrition and family-planning education.
Work of IVC
- Provides curative medical care, including screening, treatment, and emergency transport in remote Indian villages.
- Implements preventative health programs for vaccination, nutrition supplementation, hygiene, outhouse use, and family planning education.
- Runs community education initiatives with local women serving as health educators in each village, covering prenatal nutrition, hygiene, and healthy family size.
- Addresses childhood blindness and malnutrition through targeted nutrition programs and eye-care support.
- Operates fixed ward and mobile outreach clinics that serve rural areas with minimal access to healthcare.
