How Simply Smiles Is Making a Difference
Simply Smiles operates a children’s village in Oaxaca, Mexico, that provides a family-like environment and supplies all needs for abused, neglected, or special-needs children who have experienced abject poverty. Simply Smiles also supports nearby neighborhoods with outreach efforts that address particular needs.
Work of Simply Smiles
- Maintains a campus with housing, caregivers, and support for education, mental health, life-skills learning, nutrition, and other needs for resident, at-risk children.
- Supports the local community with outreach efforts as needs arise.
Initiatives Supported by Project Redwood
2015: $25,000 to purchase and distribute medication to eradicate parasitic roundworm infections, and to construct 5 sanitary latrines with hand-washing stations.
