How Juma Ventures Is Making a Difference

Juma Ventures strives to break the cycle of poverty by paving the way to work, education, and financial capability for at-risk, low-income youth aged 16 – 24.  Many of these young people grew up in poverty, have a history with foster care or juvenile justice, and have experienced significant trauma.

Work of Juma Ventures

  • Provides employment opportunities through social enterprise businesses, enabling youth to earn a paycheck and learn workplace skills.
  • Offers training in financial capability, savings, and preparation for higher education and long-term employment.
  • Connects youth (ages ~16-24) who are at risk of disengagement from school or work to educational pathways or next jobs.
  • Operates concession and vendor enterprises at major sports and entertainment venues in several United States cities to provide employment for at-risk youth.
  • Partners with corporate and foundation supporters to scale impact and integrate youth development into business operations.
