The Saint Paul and Rose Orphans’ Care Centre cares for orphaned children in Buwala, Uganda.
Work of Saint Paul and Rose Orphans' Centre
- Provides a loving home, food, clothing, schooling and agricultural training to orphaned children.
- Maintains animal herds and gardens; former Project Redwood grantee Development in Gardening helped improve and expand the Centre’s gardens, and provided training on effective gardening methods.
Initiatives Supported by Project Redwood
2014: $25,000 to purchase and house livestock, build a kitchen and store, and install a rain catchment system.
2017: $25,000 to build latrines and a community center and to provide income-earning training.
